Maryland wine drinkers hope for reform in wake of ruling on Mass. winery shipping laws

The
laws, they are a-changin’. Amid possible legal reform in Massachusetts,
which ruled that restricting the sale of wines directly to consumers
from out-of-state wineries was unconstitutional, the Washington Post
recently tackled the same issue facing Maryland. Passionate wine
drinkers want to get their hands on lesser-represented, boutique wines
and they don’t want the state to interfere with this. It will be
interesting to see if more states adjust their laws in the wake of
Massachusetts reform and larger media coverage of the issue.
