2010 Senate Hearing Information
Great News!
Most of you have already been informed about the House Bill (HB 716) hearing date on March 5, see 2010 House Hearing Information. Well the Senate Chair has decided to hear our bill (SB 566) on the same day.
This is great news for those making the trip to Annapolis to testify in
person. Twice the bang for your buck or voice! Accordingly, those
wishing to submit written testimony on our bill should provide two
copies now, one for each Committee.
The testimony should be addressed in the format provided below. Sample consumer testimony
Testimony on behalf of both the Senate Bill and House Bill (per the
Hearing Information Sheet) should be sent to the Senate Sponsor’s
(Senator Jamie Raskin) Chief of Staff, Alice Wilkerson, via email at
senatorjamieraskin@gmail.com no later than Thursday, March 4 at 12 PM.
Jennifer Levy, Legislative Affairs Director for MBBWL, should be carbon
copied on all written testimony submitted at jlevy@mbbwl.org
