Lawmakers Push for Direct Wine Shipping

An article in ABC News entitled Lawmakers Push for Direct Wine Shipping that talks about the new bills being discussed in the Maryland State Assembly.

It may soon become easier to have wine shipped to your house.

The group Marylanders for Better Beer and Wine Laws and some state lawmakers are pushing for a bill which would allow both wineries and businesses to ship out 24 cases of wine to customers per year.

Under state law, wine is not allowed to be sold and shipped to restaurants or individual buyers. Rather purchases have to go through and picked up at a distributor.
